Impact of the ABG group in my life
Aditya Birla Group is an Indian multinational conglomerate, headquartered in Worli, Mumbai. It has made a mark not only in India but also in various other countries. The first thing that comes to my mind when I think about the group is the advertisement for Ultratech Cement I have been watching since my childhood. “Ultratech – The Engineer’s Choice” is a tagline which will remain in mind for a long time. Only recently did I find out from my father that the cement used for constructing my 25-year-old house was the Ultratech Cement. The brand has remained in the market for a long time and continues to grow year on year. There are many other subsidiaries of the ABG group and Ultratech is just one among them. Aditya Birla Group has gone the extra mile and has shown its expertise in the fields in agriculture, cement Industries, chemicals, e-commerce, finance, mining, retail, and telecommunication. Their attention is not just on gaining revenue and profits but they have ensured that the customer experience is of utmost importance. Personally, it is hard for me to imagine a life without the ABG products I use. The Vodafone sim cards I use, the Peter England business formals I wear, the life insurance policy I possess from the Birla Sun Life Insurance Ltd and many other things that are involved in my day to day activities are from the group. The existence of ABG forces other companies to ensure quality products at a reasonable price. I sincerely wish the best to the group for all its future endeavours.
How I overcame the challenges in my life
Life is not as rosy as what is depicted in the movies and novels. There are many ups and downs in our lives. It depends on how we face them, not the peaks but also the valleys in our lives. Till now I have lived most of my life in Trivandrum, Kerala and the place means a lot to me. The state of Kerala faced a severe case of flooding during August 2018. My house was entirely submerged underwater. I was fortunate enough to relocate to my friend’s home before things got out of my hands. The entire state was suffering a lot because of this disaster. I along with my friends were involved in a lot of rescue operations and relief programs. We were part of groups that ensured the safety of the affected victims and supply them with basic amenities and shelter. This had a huge impact on me. I realized the importance of human life and how it should be our duty to help the people around us in distress and make a positive difference in their lives. Another important take away from this situation was crisis management. There is no use in crying over the state of thing at the present, but we should use the options that are left to us effectively and turn things positively again.
