CSR initiative by the Aditya Birla Group reaches out 7.5 million people, spread over 5000 villages, and provide them required treatments, training and skills required to sustain in the competitive world today. The CSR initiative also runs 5000 medical camps and 20 hospitals across the nation where in more than a million people are treated and 70 million children are immunized against Polio. CSR initiative also operates 56 schools for 46500 children and also provide solar lamps for children and the midday meals every day to 63000 children. This initiative by ABG has impacted the lives of many individuals.
At every stage of our lives ABG has always affected us and made our life more efficient. It is unlikely that we have never used a product, or travelled on a road or visited a site where ABG has not contributed in some way. Its presence in our life is and will always be massive by continuously growing and expanding on the purpose of making the world a better place.
Inspired from the amazing journey of accomplishments and achievements by the Aditya Birla Group, I tried to incorporate their attitude of never giving up on challenges and to keep on empowering the individuals. Below is one such instance where in I show my persistence to face the challenge which was thrown upon me.
During the college days at G H Patel College of Engineering and Technology, Gujarat, IEEE played a vital role in shaping up my personality and developing my characteristics. In my third year, the transition of positions in the IEEE student body were going on and I was going to become the chairperson. I was relieved as I thought all of my friends would also be continuing with the membership, and I would get team readily available and much of the work won’t be needed. But my palace of illusions got broken down, when I got to know that almost all of my friends had back down from IEEE. I had no team with me only 3-4 senior students like me and 7-8 odd juniors who were yet to be opened to the world of reality.
I had two options; either opt out, the way which my friends did and then chill around for the next two years or I could have taken up to me as a challenge to form a team which could the potential to reach heights which the previous Student Body wasn’t able to achieve. By giving a thought on the repercussions, I finally decided the latter option. I applied the management lessons learned then and slowly started to build my team which could function and execute seamlessly. The patience and dedication was reflected when within a period of two months the team size grew from 15 to 125 and together we conducted various National and International Conferences, Seminars and Achieved many heights as a Team.
From that day on wards, I have embedded patience and belief in my personality and attitude, with which I can face any challenge that comes on my way. The Never Giving up attitude has helped me to achieve all the success in my corporate life and one major thing which has helped me in achieving my ambitions is appreciating each and every moment of life and being satisfied from it...!!
