Aditya Birla has become a crucial part of my life by getting involved in some of the integral process of my life. Starting from building my home using Ultra Tech Cement which is the largest manufacturer for grey cement. Then I had done most of my shopping in the childhood from Pantaloons, the fashion and retailing brand of Aditya Birla Group. Also, the fitting of clothes was given by Van Heusen the fashion and retailing brand of the big conglomerate Aditya Birla Group. After joining a professional life at IIM Rohtak, No brand is better than Louis Philips when we talk about professionals outfits. I have always done most of the purchases from this brand and have also recommended to most of my friend. This is how it is associated with some important parts of my life which are important or would create a big impact on my life.
One situation that I faced while working at my family business was that one of the customers had asked me to give him the goods without making a bill for the same and he said that it was a good deal for both him and I because I could evade the taxes by not billing him and he could quote a higher price for the goods to his boss. But this was strictly against my work ethic and the values on which our business is based. So, I outrightly refused to sell him the goods and made sure that no such activity is practised by any of our employees.
I have been a member of the Rotaract club of my college from the very first year, initially, I was involved in various activities like cloth donation drive, book donation drive, blood donation drive and the planting of saplings as a volunteer. In the second year of my college, my contributions were recognized and I was appointed as the Sergeant of Arms and as the Sergeant of Arms, I headed an event, a social awareness drive about a cracker free Diwali and coordinated a team of over 200 students for the same. I also worked as an intern under Ashima foundation for 3 months.
I am the captain of the netball team of my college. Delhi Olympics was going to held next week and one of the main players of our team got injured during practice which brings down the moral of my team players. This leads to the degrading of my team performance in the practice sessions. Then I motivated each player and make them realise their strength and made them feel again to win the tournament. Then we worked hard and made strategic planning so that we can incur the lose made by the absence of our main player. Therefore we were successful in applying our strategy and secured 2nd position at Delhi Olympics.
Basketball is not an individual sport. I was the captain of the basketball team of my college. my team players were not able to perform too well in court during practice. Then I identified each player's strength and used them to bring out the best. Then the coordination and performance increased exponentially and we worked as a team in every up and down during the match and secured 1st position for 3 years in a row.
