I am born and brought up in a small town in a protected environment. Then, I moved to Mumbai for graduation for my graduation and CAT preparation. It was a drastic change in the community environment and people around. Being the topper in my class till 12th, I was over-confident of myself which hit me back in my first year of graduation. There was tough and tough competition and people had some brilliant minds outside of the textbook world which I was unaware of. Gradually, I started learning things from friends and people around about new things and the ‘Practical World’. In this process, I, along with my two flatmates, initiated a newspaper start-up, ‘White Ink’. I was of 18 years back then and that experience has contributed to major part of my learnings and perspective. I still remember one instance when we had to be present in a court for registration of newspaper title. There were other entrepreneurs in the court room and the questions asked to them by the magistrate were regarding language of newspaper, periodicity, publisher and so on. The first question asked to me was ‘What is your age?’  The process of preparation for CAT was in itself a journey which allowed me to analyse my potential and strengths and weaknesses as an individual. My CAT centre was in Pune and the next day I had university exam of Indirect Taxation in Mumbai. I stretched it to my maximum to ensure that I give my best in both the exams and by that paid off as a 90 percentile in CAT and distinction in Indirect Taxation. My motive is always to learn and test myself for new skills and endeavours.
