Everyone aspires to get the best education, and obtain the goals set by them. I am no different and had the same expectations. That is why after completing my graduation in Bcom (hons) from Delhi university, I decided to pursue MBA to gain the formal knowledge and workings of the business environment.
Little did I know that it was easy to think about it, but very difficult to achieve. To get into a good MBA college, you need to crack the entrance exams, and it is a fierce competition out there. To prepare myself, I took up a coaching class, at Career Launcher, CP. Now living in Delhi, no place is near your place. Everywhere you have to go, it takes a minimum of half an hour to reach there. Same was the case with me.
It took me an hour to travel back and forth. And to manage the CAT preparation along with my college studies was proving to be very difficult for me. The concepts that were being taught were also not getting through to me completely. There came a time where I almost had a mental breakdown, and was completely going to give up my dream doing an MBA.
But my parents really motivated me and gave me the mental strength I needed. I had many sleepless nights while coping with everything on my plate, but I pushed myself to achieve my goal. I took up so many mock exams to completely prepare myself, I worked on my speed, and instead of going to the coaching centre and wasting the time on travelling, I started studying on my own.
Slowly I started gaining confidence in myself, and when the day of CAT came, I was fully prepared.
I got a decent score, because of which I got admission into such a prestigious institution.
