Challenge- as the word speaks out; it means participation in a competitive situation or fight to decide who is superior of ability and strength. I consider myself as a person who has seen good amount of challenges in my life. I always had a competitive nature and always want to excel in whatever I do. Life was simple and easy going until high school. Having studied in various Kendriya Vidyalayas across the country, I got to meet and know people with wide range of knowledge and wisdom. They provided me with a varied level of competitions. At places, I felt on top of everyone and at places, I was lost in the crowd. It was an exposure of its kind and at the end; these new challenges that I had at every new place made me a stronger and better person that I am today. I was always good in Maths and Science and did well in class 10th. In class 12th, my parents wanted me to become a doctor, so I went with it and changed to state board so that I get time for my medical entrance preparations. Those two years were very tough and challenging for me with all the preparation for medicals. During these tough days, I realized that Biology is not my cup of tea. I developed a huge interest towards Physics. However, I went ahead, finished my boards, and gave my medical exams, and I marginally missed on getting a seat in government medical college. It was decision time for me; I had many roads before me. That challenging situation required a critical decision from me. I decided to drop a year and prepare for engineering entrance exams. I sacrificed the comfort of home, and moved to Hyderabad for preparations. It was tough being away from home and family for the first time in my life. Nevertheless, there was no looking back; I knew that I took up this challenge to become an IITian. Having stayed in hostel and with limited access to the outside world, life could have been very depressing. However, I developed close friendship with my batch mates and believe me, studies was never so much fun in my entire life. After my exams, I managed to get admission at NIT Rourkela. I still feel I could have done better and got into a better college. Every place had new set of challenges waiting for me. I pretty much enjoyed my 4 years at NIT Rourkela, never thought about the consequences, and always remained in the present. That was the period when I rather became loose and engineering got me to do things in its own way. I pushed my tasks to the extreme end of the deadlines, and there was a point when I became a master of estimating the time required to complete a task and completing them just on time. My life at corporate was full of challenges especially for an introvert like me.

Nevertheless, it was also a learning exposure for me, and the best place to overcome my weaknesses. After two years of relaxed and enjoyable life, I decided to join MDI Gurgaon. The journey of CAT and interviews was also a tough phase but was also equally enjoyable.
Initial days at MDI was tough because of the rigour it offered. I see it as a challenge and accept to face it and ultimately come out of it as a better individual.

How ABG plays a role in my life Aditya Birla Group is one of the leading conglomerates of the country It has its presence for more than a decade. It started as a jute manufacturing company, today it managed to expand to various domains, and today it has a huge impact in every Indians life. I first heard of one its product UltraTech Cement when I was in class 1. Every day I used to get down from my school bus and I used to wait for my mom to come and pick me up. I found shelter in an ultratech cement outlet, whose owner was my father’s friend. Therefore, this name will always be embedded in my mind. When I got my first mobile phone, I remember my sim card was Idea, because of its lucrative offers and good network coverage. I still remember the attractive offers Idea had to offer. The first formal shirt that I bought for appearing for my undergraduate placement interviews was a Peter England Shirt. Currently I possess four formal shirts of which three are Van Huesen and one is Peter England. I kind of developed a liking for these brands and am very thankful to ABG.
