Dear Aspirants, 2018 has begun, and yes, almost 5 months already gone among joys, sorrows and expectations. What have you thought or done so far? What answer do you get when you ask yourself - "Am I right today?" How do you feel when you see someone succeed? Do you get a serene, yet, a weird feeling rising within your body or a feeling of restlessness amidst yourself? When you see other people have a sense of satisfaction or pride, do you yearn for that feeling? This piece of thought is for those whose inner voice gave a loud, yet an unheard ‘YES' to these questions. Now among them, there are two kinds of people: the ones who have an instant realisation of not giving their 100%, which in turn, gives rise to desperation; and the ones who just enjoy the feeling till it lasts and fades away like a burning camphor. Their story either ends instantly or goes on to portray an image of the setting sun. This feels bad if you think about it, isn't it? The main idea lies with a third type. These individuals are an evolution of the ones who belong to the previous two types. The only difference becomes clear when I use the word - REALISATION. - Realisation that there is something ‘missing' in life - Realisation of a sense of ‘responsibility' - Realisation that there is a need to start ‘working' - Realisation that there is a need to work ‘harder' The third kind, who find the missing responsibility and start working harder, are the ones who go on to achieve. Looking at the show of success and borrowing the good feeling is just going to give a temporary satisfaction. Those feelings should be used as a signal to further awaken a superhero that resides in all of us, one who could help give us that imperative push, into an ocean of possibilities. This is the time to act! A lot of you must have appeared for MBA entrance exams in 2017 and after surfacing of the results recently, many would be busy preparing for the next rounds (after all, only half the battle is won). Those who couldn't make it past the cut-offs, this article is like a ‘Hand' on their shoulders to urge them to think and head in the right direction. That right direction requires you to stand and fight against mediocrity since it's easy to settle for it after a setback. I am addressing each one of you as ‘Aspirants', not just CAT/XAT/any other exam aspirant, but an individual who has the spark to aspire and find their passion which will not just be fuelled by needs and wants, but by Realisation. Whatever your goals are for this year, make sure your strategy is to achieve them by being the best version of yourself. You can do so by embracing a couple of more Rs (you might think that I am obsessed with this letter )- •‘Recover', if you feel you have failed •‘Rethink', what went wrong •‘Reorganise', your thoughts and approach •‘Rebirth', of a new & improved YOU! There is one more ‘R' to have, which I am sure the best version of yourself will surely bring to you - ‘Rejoice', on achieving your target. Once you have done a clear analysis of what you want and how you can get that, there are no wrong thoughts that will cross your mind. As you wake up every day, say this to yourself- "I Am Right Today" .
