It was a joyous moment for me when I got selected in IIFT, Delhi. So with a lot of excitement, I packed up my bags to start a new journey at IIFT. The campus is situated in heart of Delhi, National Capital of India. It is remotely located away from the hustle & bustle of a city. Adjoining the campus is Sanjay Van one of the of the largest forest patches in the city with its wilderness & greenery provides calm, serenity to campus. As you enter campus first thing one sees is Wings of Wisdom which signifies Knowledge is power as it inspires you every time you see it, to strive hard & keep going. My favourite place in the campus is Top of the World where most of the batch photos are taken. Then the Atrium in the Administrative block which hosts coolest parties on campus pan India. The view of Qutub Minar & Sanjay Van from some OH hostel rooms in morning is breath-taking.
Sports is seriously taken at IIFT be it the inter-section war, Big Fight or the IPL style franchise edition called Ultimate Warriors League (UWL), & the Sports fest ADRENALINE - RUSH TO GLORY. The trinity of Nescafe, night canteen and Diwan Sahab reign supreme to satisfy our midnight food cravings. “Diwan Sahab” Bun Maska and chai is early morning refreshment for all who have fought all the night. I stay at C9 hostel which is 8oo m away from campus & we enjoy our walk to campus as the road is covered under tree shades with dhabas alongside serving hot parathas.
The first week of Induction was rigorous as it made us ready for the life of B school & created a bonding in batch. Seniors take care of all the details to prepare us & act as mentors. I made a lot of friends and each one is funny, ambitious, fun loving and intelligent all at the same time. Also we have sports sessions every weekend which act as a stress buster from a hectic academic schedule & I enjoy playing cricket as we also practice keeping in mind various B school tournaments.
IIFT which is the mecca for Trade in India having centres for WTO, International Trade in Technology & MSME studies along with its lively culture makes it the unique B school of India.
