Situated in the heart of India, the first thing that captured the hearts of people was the campus itself. Amidst of hectic schedule, deadlines and numerous activities, a soothing sunset visible from the hill makes one feel beyond all this.
Well, what makes my campus unique cannot be a single factor. It’s the whole lot combination of several tiny things which when observed together brings out the uniqueness of campus. After having spent a year at this college, IIM Indore has given a plethora of experiences in such a short span of time. One such factor is its wonderfully diverse batch. Despite some strains regarding the batch size of IIM Indore, it is the very fact that makes it unique. Being surrounded with people from almost every corner and curve of the country provides you with a range of experiences that you wouldn’t have gained otherwise.
Be it background, gender or cultures, the campus has every aspect of diversity with equally enthusiastic people. And, another aspect which comes out naturally to the mind every person visiting this campus is the infrastructure.
Situated on a small hillock, the geography of campus comprises of three levels which are termed by students as ‘ teen loks’ : Patal lok, Dharti lok and the Swarg lok. The Patal lok (the bottommost level) where all the hostels stand, dharti lok where all the food exists and the Swarg lok which is the uppermost level and is quite ironic where the academic block stands on this part of campus. And among many of the ways to reach the classes, one of the swiftest and tedious way is through stairs which are famously called as “mandir ki sidiya”. These very levels make the campus wonderfully beautiful covered with lush green gardens and trees around. The campus along with world-class swimming pool and great sports facilities naturally keeps you fit.
Taking a walk around the campus energizes one up rather than tiring one down. The campus with amazing scenic beauty is an absolute delight for the photographers. It needs no filters to be captured from a different level. Monsoons are the time when the campus turns into a chilly hill station with a gentle breeze swaying throughout the campus. Walking down the lane under the shimmering yellow lights entails a peace which calms down every pressure or anxiety to almost nil.
Thus a single aspect to be made responsible would be unfair for making campus unique. Huge batch size with a huge green and super clean campus could be called as two things that go perfectly together. Structurally diverse campus along with diverse peers completes the whole package of being a wonderful place to live in.
Which ABG company would you want to work for and why?
The company I would like for is Idea Cellular group which is one of the top 3 mobile operators of India. Being from electronics and communications background, telecom sector has always attracted me to work in it. Awareness about the domain of this sector, shall help me to exhibit my skills in an effective
and efficient way. Owing to its pan-India coverage and foray into digital services like entertainment media through apps, this company shall provide me opportunities to explore different areas like digital services and spectrums of communication. Interests in strategy and marketing would help me to pursue the career in an intriguing manner.
