IIM Ranchi has successfully completed the Summer Placement Season for its PGDM and PGDHRM programmes (2018-20). This season has witnessed participation of 106 companies for 253 students (186 and 67 in PGDM and PGDHRM respectively), who have been offered coveted roles in the functional areas of Sales and Marketing, Finance, Operations & General Management, IT & Analytics, Strategy & Consulting and Human Resource Management.
The average stipend for the internship for PGDM Batch saw an increment of 6.45% and stood at INR 90,830/, whereas average stipend for PGDHRM batch has increased by 10.06% and stood at INR 95,152/. The average stipend for the top 25% of the batch was INR 1,71,587/ and INR 1,65,788/ for the PGDM and PGDHRM batches, respectively.
The roles offered in Sales & Marketing domain are the highest at 44%, followed by 16% in Finance and 15% in Operations.
Legacy recruiters such as ACG Worldwide, Berger Paints, BPCL, Capgemini, Cognizant, Cummins, Deloitte, Emami, Google, HP, ICICI Bank, ICICI Lombard, Larsen & Toubro, RBL Bank, Robert Bosch, RPG Group, Samsung R&D, Sony Pictures, Sutherland, Tata Steel, ValueLabs, Vedanta, Wipro Consumer Care & Yes Bank, to name a few, have offered diverse roles in Business Development and Strategy, Campaign Management, Equity Research, Corporate Finance, Supply Chain Management, Operations Analytics, Strategic Sourcing, Product Analyst and Business Analyst, among many others.
In addition to prominent recruiters, the faith of corporates in IIM Ranchi's talent has been reinforced with more than 60 first-time recruiters associating with the Institute. Organizations like Ernst & Young, Flipkart, Goldman Sachs, JSPL, Microland, Ola, Siemens, Titan & Ultratech and the likes have recruited students for their respective summer internship programmes for the first time.
For the PGDHRM batch, corporate giants across different industries have offered roles in Industrial Relations, CSR & Sustainability, HR Analytics, Talent Acquisition and HR Generalist.
The persistent credence exhibited by the recruiters during this summer internship programme is a testimony to the continuous efforts of all stakeholders namely recruiters, faculty members, alumni, students, staff, and placement committee of the Institute.
