This is a pleasure to know that there is an Indian company which cares about its country’s citizen. Also the company is helping to reach the dream of nation to be developed with innovation and adding to the country’s revenue. Talking about my encounter with the Aditya Birla Group’s Brand, it was when our home construction was going on. Everyone suggested Ultra-tech cement because it is the best in the market. Talking about apparel, Allen Solly and Peter England is two of my favourite brands.
Currently idea and Vodafone has merged together, which has increased the geographical reach of the company and its network. One experience I can share about the reach of this network was, when I was doing internship in Kutch area of Gujarat only network was working of which Vodafone was one. Without this it would be very tough for me to live for two months in that area, because network coverage is very important.
How have I made an impact?
I was born and brought up in a very small town in Jharkhand. I come from a very humble background. So getting into IIM is like a dream come true for me. Before coming to IIM I was working at Tata Steel Ltd. as a maintenance assistant. So it was very difficult for me to prepare for Cat examination while in job. I was in shift duty, I had to do three different shifts, and it was very difficult for me to manage time. But I never gave up. I stopped wasting time on other less important things and started to judiciously manage my time.
When I came to IIM, I realized that I was lagging behind on several fronts which made the life all together more difficult from the beginning of the program. I realized that I was behind in presentation skills and in public speaking. I slowly worked on my weaknesses and improved on the fronts I was lagging behind. If I had not accepted the challenge and just gave up through the journey then it would be very difficult for me to survive here.
