Aditya Birla Group (WOO ME)
As the company was established in 1857 which had always created image in mind stating one of the oldest company’s in India which had helped company to create a loyal customers.
My life revolve around Aditya Birla products from the day of birth. The day I was born my life started with the products of Aditya Birla Group subsidiary products from shelter of my house ie Ultratech cement to the clothes I wear. The group has always been innovative and with so many brand in one segment also helping company to capture all the market share of each segment for example in Clothing brand they have different brands like Allen Solly , Van Heusen which target the premium segment market with that they have a store like Pantaloons which cater to all income segment people. The company also focuses on education sector which provide top world institution exposure to students like BITS Pilani and after educating from such a premium institution a student always dream to be part of Aditya Birla Group.
I was born in Punjab and brought up in Delhi. Being from business family, the environment really nurtured my upbringing which inspired me to choose management course to pursue at graduation level. I did BMS (Bachelor Of Management Studies ) from Delhi University. Coming from such a background helped me to hone my leadership skills and hardworking qualities. This helped me in achieving positions such as President of Enactus DDUC in which I managed a team for Social Business Plan and lead the team for Enactus National Competition. I also introduced and organized Social Internship Programme in which 8 NGOs participated and 100 plus people got internship opportunity, this was my brain child to the college which has now become the flagship event of our college. Being a part of finance club I got an opportunity to organize events like Mock Stock, Monopoly and many more. I also got an opportunity to work as an intern in BSE(Bombay Stock Exchange) in treasury department . In which I was responsible for pay in pay out of funds, regular contact with broker for negotiation of bonds, analyzing annual reports of companies and banking rates. This experience gave me exposure of stock market industry.
Then got an opportunity to be part of IIM Rohtak. The existing hard work and leadership qualities helped me to be part of EIC (Entrepreneurship Innovation Council). Being an executive member gave me an opportunity to interact with CXOs of companies, even given an opportunity to take an interview of Millennial Entrepreneurs and to organize one of biggest event i.e Startup Expo . This all helped me to gain knowledge which helped me further to secure Positions at National Competitions like Aestimatus 5.0 at IIM Kashipur, Trade Wars at Xaviers Institute of Management Bhubaneshwar, Best Manager at School of Business and Entrepreneurship and even an Inhouse competition i.e. Stock Craze. This experience can help upcoming juniors to plan their upcoming MBA life according to their future endeavors.
