Mayank Banka
The only CA in our batch. Mayank is the person who finance enthusiast look up to. His habit of not participating in class discussions unless asked by the professor shows how humble he is. One will usually find him in the library, reading something or in the badminton court. He is updated about every news article (he spends 3-4 hours daily on the news), every government policy & every change in the economy. He has an in-depth knowledge of everything. I was lucky enough to have him in my PGP group. Finance assignments were a cake walk.
Vishrut Trivedi
The fact that he did his senior secondary in Gujrati and then sailed through verbal section of CAT in his first attempt speaks for itself. A stereotypical Gujrati, Vishrut a.k.a ‘Jignesh Bhai’ is a talent house. He learnt guitar on his own, by watching videos online and also does decent gaming on his ‘ancient’ laptop. It is not rare to find him sleeping through a class. Being a night owl, it is his natural habitat. He might not look athletic but don’t let that deceive you, he is one of the best bowler we have and plays table tennis well too.
Sukesh Kumar
Sukesh Kumar, 25, Born and brought up in Warangal comes from a humble background, his family went through a tough time after his father’s business failed. Sukesh focussed on his studies as he knew this is the only way he can get rid of problems. “Despite financial constraints, my father ensured that I attend school regularly. He somehow managed to pay my fees by working day-and-night and taking loans,” Sukesh for us, is one of the most inspiring people on campus. This guy stands for perseverance and hard work. Even now he is always engaged in one activity or another, he never settles.
Which Aditya Birla Group Company do I wish to join and why?
I wish to join either Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail limited or Aditya Birla Capital (Insurance). Fashion and Retail because, I’m a loyal customer of Louis Philippe and I have seen it grow as a brand and would love to be a part of the team behind its success and insurance because I have always admired actuarial as a profession, not only will I get an opportunity to explore it but will also make use of my specialization in Finance, in graduation as well as MBA.
