IIM Tiruchirappalli launched its
Post Graduate Programme in Business Management (PGPBM) – an in-class programme for
working executives in 2012. The Inauguration of the 5
th batch of PGPBM took place at IIM Trichy’s Chennai Center on August 1st, 2016.
Shri. Ranjan Mishra, Vice President - Talent Acquisition & HRBP Technology at
Vodafone India was the Chief Guest for the function.
Dr. Prafulla Agnihotri, Director IIM Trichy, addressed the incoming batch of students and welcomed them to the IIM Trichy family. He congratulated them for choosing the PGPBM programme for advancing in their respective careers and expressed confidence that the rigor and quality of the programme will help them further their career aspirations.
“We received an enthusiastic response to our call for applications to admissions for this academic year. After a rigorous selection process that involved a written test and personal interview, a total of
41 students, with an
average work experience of 14 years, are set to join the fifth batch of the programme”, said
Prof. K V Mukundhan, the programme Chairperson in his welcome address.
The Chief Guest,
Shri. Ranjan Mishra delivered his inaugural address in which he emphasized the importance of adapting to the changing needs of professional and personal life. He said, it is important to learn continuously to keep knowledge and skills fresh for the changing needs of today’s business environment. At the end of the day, it is adaptability that will take people places.
He then presented the
Merit Certificates to two meritorious students of PGPBM 2014-17 and two students of PGPBM 2015-18. Five students from PGPBM 2014-17 were placed in the
Director’s Merit List. Prof. Mukundhan then proposed the vote of thanks.
