The summer placement process for the second batch of Dual Degree program in Global Supply Chain Management of Indian Institute of Management, Udaipur was successfully completed in April- May 2014. PGPX Summer Internship or “Experiential Learning Exercise” is an 8 week graded exercise. The goal of this exercise is to help students get hands-on experience of concepts in supply chain and operations. After the completion of internship project, students are graded by professors from Krannert School of Management, Purdue University. Students are also provided support by industry mentors as academic rigour is expected from students for internship projects..
The internship process received good response from industry. 11 students received relevant projects from 9 companies. The sectors these companies represented were FMCG, e-commerce / e-retail, consumer durables, manufacturing and logistics. International offer was also offered by e-retail sector to one student.
Cummins India Ltd also offered Pre placement offers to 2 students.
