IIM Udaipur PGPX wraps up its Summer Internship Placement for the Class of 2019!
IIM Udaipur has successfully concluded its Summer Internship placements for the 2018-2019 batch of PGPX participants. Students bagged internships with renowned names in the industry such as Johnson&Johnson, Big Basket, Tupperware, Tata Projects, Narayana Healthcare and the like.
IIM Udaipur PGPX is a dual degree program that lays a solid foundation in management fundamentals integrated with a specialization in Global Supply Chain Management from the esteemed Krannert School of Management at Purdue University in the United States. It is a fifteen-month residential program where students spend seven months at IIM Udaipur strengthening management fundamentals, two months at various organizations pursuing their summer internships in the field of Supply Chain Management, then heading to the United States in August for a five-month rigorous specialization in Global Supply Chain Management. Students get to experience the best of both the worlds through the experiential learning modules through this one-of-a-kind MBA.
The current batch comprises of 18 highly experienced participants with relevant and diverse industry exposure in IT, Manufacturing, Fashion, Healthcare and the like. The institution has set a new high for itself by setting an exceptional record of securing internships for the PGPX students in a short span of 3 months of the course commencement. As the PGPX is a Supply Chain focused course, internship roles were offered primarily across functions such as Logistics, Warehouse Management, Sales & Operations Planning, Data Analytics, Operations Route Optimization etc. This year witnessed an even better response from the industry over the last year with several new organizations offering supply chain roles to students. With the ever-increasing importance of efficient supply chain expertise in the country, IIM Udaipur hopes to open up new avenues for the students in this field in the coming years.
