Aditya Birla Group is one of the biggest conglomerates which have made a significant impact
worldwide. The company is spread across 35 countries, having more than 120,000 employees. ABG’s core values include sustainable development of the weaker section of the society and help increase the human development index.
I am doing my Masters at SDA Bocconi Asia Centre, so wearing formal clothes is a part of our routine. Hence I have been associated with brands like Allen Solly, Van Huesen, Louis Phillips, Peter England which provide a wide range of quality clothes. Secondly, my family has various insurance policies taken from Aditya Birla Sun Life Asset Management Company Ltd. It helps inculcate savings and act as collateral in contingency. ABG’s telecom wing, Idea cellular merged with Vodafone India and became the largest telecom company in terms of subscribers. The network aims at seamless communication, which is a major requirement in this generation.
Other than their brands, I have visited the Birla mandir in Calcutta. It is an excellent piece of architecture and can accommodate a large number of people.
A major challenge I faced all throughout school and college was my problem with obesity. I overcame that challenge by organizing myself, going to the gym and eating healthy. I was 135kgs in the year 2017 and now I weigh 93, I have lost 42 kgs in the last year and a half. Above all this I have never intended on losing weight I aimed at changing my lifestyle.
I am still a work in progress but what I have been able to achieve is sustain a healthy lifestyle. Just like ABG, I had a vision and I realized that my vision could only come in reality if I have a holistic approach, remain committed and stay passionate.
