Aditya Birla group has been actively performing in various sectors, whether it be pre-independence or post-independence. Founded by Mr. Seth Shiv Narayan Birla in 1857. Working in sectors like metal, textiles, carbon black, telecom and cement, all these sectors have more than 1, 20,000+ employees from over 42 nationalities as of now. Aditya Birla group has touched many hearts by working on grass root level for various communities with a focus on health care, education, the girl child, sustainable livelihood, women empowerment projects, infrastructure, etc. There are very few instances where one cannot relate to the Aditya Birla group in his or her life. When I got to know about my selection in Indian Institute of foreign trade, we had to buy a complete suit for the program. I went to pantaloons and where I had various options to buy my formals and suits, like Allen Solly, Van Heusen, Louis Philippe, Peter England. I bought my suit from Van Heusen and formals from Allen Solly, Louis Philip, and Peter England. I had to buy formal shoes as well where I had various options to buy from. Pantaloons made my shopping very easy as I could get all that I want under one single roof. Apart from the fashion apparel aspect, there are various sectors that the group has made its goodwill and reputation by providing its customer’s utmost satisfaction for over 160 years now. Thanks to Aditya Birla group for making people’s lives easy and make connections with others as strong as Ultra tech cement.
I’m a person who has been carefree and little fastidious on things. The only purpose of life was to have fun and make the most out of time. The journey was very difficult as I was not at all focused and lack of clarity always held me back. After my graduation in Bachelors of Management studies, I started working as Real estate commission agent. Initially I earned enough money through the agency but later on, I realized that there is little scope for me considering my aspiration. I tried and gave my best shot every time I pitched my client. But it didn’t work every time. As there was no stability in this profession I decided to search for a job. I started working with the Indian express group where I worked as EA to the editor. While working with the express group, initially I faced a lot of problems. I was new to the corporate world. I didn’t know many things as I had to go through a lot of new things within a short period of time. But later on, with the help of my seniors and colleagues, I was able to make it. That’s the time I realized with hard work and consistency everything is possible. Considering my love for automobiles the editor gave an opportunity to write articles in the automobile section. 14 articles of mine have been published in Marathi newspaper of the Indian Express group. I was happy with the article writing in the newspaper, but that was not my core job. I was not so happy with the core job and because of the peer group, I developed Interest in the stock market. As I was 24 years old at that time I took a decision of doing an MBA and quitting my job. When I told this to my friends and family they were very confused and not so sure whether I’ll be able to do it. Everyone was sure with the academic scores that I have, I won’t be able to join any top B-schools that I targeted. So I decided to prove myself right and started studying hard. Finally, I’m here at IIFT, from an average student in academics to IIFT Delhi.
