I had heard that one will never be able to forget one’s 2 years spent at a B-school. Well, it’s been only a month and I’m convinced with this notion. This new life feels like an exam I didn’t prepare for. Chaos is the new order. And, when your life is in chaos, you have no option but to fall in love with the madness. From the 1st day itself, I had started witnessing the bizarreness. One of the key learning till now is getting suited up in just couple of minute. Attending sessions in business suits give a feeling of a professional rather than of a student.
My life has changed and so has my biological cycle. Dynamic session calls are the craziest and tedious part of this new life. In first couple of weeks, it was very difficult for me to adapt to this ad hoc schedule and coming up with the new time table. But, after that, not only I got adjusted to this bizarre routine but also got very much alert about everything going around. This curriculum helped me experience rigor. Anxiousness coupled with excitement has become a 24 x 7 thing. Towards the end of the day, from my mental to-do list, I strike through tasks, assignments which I have completed and simultaneously create a new checklist for the following day. My date and time have now got associated with deadlines. I sleep at odd times and my sleeping hours are directly proportional to the amount of work left to be completed from my checklist.
Another great thing about MDI is that I’m always surrounded with talented and smart people. I am sure that my network is going to spread extensively in these two years and will be full of successful camaraderie till the time I will complete my course. Much of the networking and contact building had happened in events like inductions, outbound trainings, group tasks and also with people I share my hostel with. I love engaging with new people and I guess I possess the quality of understanding people’s perception. If one moment, I’m tracking with my seniors, then on another I’m approaching my faculty. MDI has given me the opportunity to meet and interact with people from different walks of life and I have got to learn so much from them in this journey.
I have always been keen to understand fashion and follow new trends. Coming from IT background, ecommerce is something which has always amused me. So if given a chance, I would really wish to be a part of ‘All about fashion’, ABOF by Aditya Birla Group and work in the marketing domain of it. I would surely want to have this exposure and learn the vast domain of e-commerce’s fashion area.
