Mr. Ravikanth Uppaluru, supply chain process manager, took us around the factory and explained various products which they manufacture and processes followed. Students wore their ‘Operations Management thinking hats’ when they visited the Coca-Cola plant. The students had a galore of questions like, change over time from one product to other, KPI’s, production forecast lead time and supply chain in UAE, to name a few. Students whose forte was marketing had asked questions about new product introduction, marketing analysis and market share of Coke in UAE. Not only were all the questions answered, the PGP students learnt from a completely new perspective, which enhanced their learning experience.
The team at Coca Cola Factory concluded the interaction by declaring the PGP UAE students as the best and most intellectual bunch of business school students whom they interacted with.
