With such vast product portfolios and subsidiaries of Aditya Birla Group, its hard to believe that a person wouldn’t have come across any of its products. For me, Idea and Pantaloons are the two names that are deeply associated with my life. I still remember when I first bought my cell phone at the age of 16, I hardly knew any good cellular networks as being from a rural background. So, the first sim I bought comes out to be Idea cellular network sim. The numbers are still on my tips although I am not using that sim now. The network connectivity and diversity in packages was too good keeping the competitors at that time in mind. The advertisement campaigns of Idea were above all- from “India 3G pe busy” to “IIN-Idea Internet Network”. As of now, I am not using that sim as it is being used by some other member in my family, but the connection remains the same. With Pantaloons, I have a deeper connection than Idea as it is one of the first clothing ranges that I remember my family used to shop whenever we visited the market. I still have that turtle neck black jersey with me which was actually the first clothing that I bought with my money for myself. I still remember how hard it was for me to save every penny so that I can buy that jet-black turtle neck. Over the years I bought numerous clothes for both summers and winters, but that jersey and its colour never faded and that is the kind of quality that everyone expects, and it is remarkable that Aditya Birla Group has been able to deliver that over decades consistently.
I believe that everyone has problems or challenges to overcome every day. Problems or challenges have different definitions for different people. For someone may be doing a math problem can be a challenge whereas for other person speaking in English fluently can a challenge. Even people who think that they are perfect have problems or challenges to overcome every day. Similarly, I also had to face several challenges which I overcame during my growing up years some with ease and some with a lot of hard work and these challenges have helped me in shaping my character. To some problems or challenges, I do apply a systematic approach but only when there is a sufficient time to respond say the project deadline is nearing and one of my team members gets sick or faces an emergency situation in which he/she won’t able to contribute to that project further. Then it becomes necessary to sit and decide with the other teammates on how to particularly divide his/her work among we or if he is ready to work on a distant basis then how to assist him/her further in such a way that it does not affect the deadline. The major objective in dividing his/her work in its absence would overloading and specific tasks that are speciality oriented. Thus, efficient and effective division of tasks and responsibilities, keeping in mind the interest of other teammates, will only lead to the desired outcome. For the other challenges where other’s interest is very low or least effective, I try to take advises from my seniors, peers, family and friends. This helps me get a better perspective of the problem and eventually helps in creating more than 1 solution to that particular problem. Thus, based on the response time and nature of the challenge I try to find more than 1 solution to get the desired outcome.
