Interviews are intense, especially B-School interviews. You need to be at the top of your game. To those of you who are sitting for DMS, IIT Delhi Interview, this article might help them. It contains interview experience of then an MBA aspirant and now an MBA student at IIT Delhi.

Location: CETTM MTNL, Mumbai
Date: 16 March 2019

Sadly, I don’t remember the topic of my WAT, but I will share my entire Interview experience.
There were 2 panellists, one Male, and one Female which later I realized that the Male Panelist was actually an alumnus of DMS, IIT Delhi, and Female Candidate was a Faculty Member.
After all the Greetings on entering the room, I took my seat when the interviewer asked me to do so.

Panellist: So tell us in brief about yourself…
Answer: Told the well-rehearsed answer starting right from the academics, to co-curricular and certifications then about my extra-curricular and ended by mentioning the hobbies.

Panellist: You mentioned you have a youtube channel The Data Structures. So what is your teaching methodology and what all concepts have you covered?
Answer: Told him about the various types of searching and sorting algorithms I have covered including concepts from Trees and Linked Lists.

Panellist: Now tell me since you have a Digital Marketing Certification how do you do the marketing of your channel?
Answer: Told him about how I do marketing using social media etc.

Panellist: Tell me a software or some application you use to analyze the data regarding your channel. [By data he meant the no of views, hits, and all such stuff]
Answer: I told him about how I use Google Analytics and how it helps me in generating more hits.

Panellist: Tell me 2 things which are most important in the growth of any YouTube Channel.
Answer: I told him how content quality and the keywords used for each video is important.

Panellist: How do you choose your keywords?
Answer: Told him in detail Regarding the same.

Panellist: Ok now tell me why you chose to go for a Diploma After your 10th rather than doing your 12th and then Degree?
Answer: Had already Prepared Answer for the same and hence told the same straightaway.

Panellist: So after all this technical stuff why do you choose to pursue an MBA that from DMS, IIT Delhi?
Answer: Told him all the great things about DMS, the experience, alumni base, etc.

Panellist: So since you have told us so much about DMS, do you know about any clubs or committees as well?
Answer: Told him in detail about all the clubs and committees the institute has and what roles and functions they perform.

Panellist: Ok, so that’s it from our side. Do you have any questions for us?
Answer: Clarified to them about the various subjects and electives to choose from and got a proper answer for the same.

Said thank you to both the panellists and came outside the interview room. Maximum questions were asked by the male panellist. Overall a Good Interview which lasted almost 15 minutes. VERDICT: CONVERTED
