Date: 9th February 2019 Slot: Afternoon One good thing about SIBM interviews is that they are conducted on campus so that you get to see the campus and they also provide bus service from Senapati Bapat Marg to the campus. On-campus, after the registration process is over, you are given a folder containing some materials, and food packs. Also, each group would be assigned a student mentor who would be there throughout the process. Diving straight into the GE-PIWAT experience, there were 8 of us in one group. For the GE round, there are two rounds. The first was a Group Exercise round where each of us was given a set of puzzles and a box in which we had to fit those puzzle pieces exactly. 10 Minutes were given for the same. But sadly none of us could fit the puzzle pieces. The next was were given a GD topic. We had to write about it on a piece of paper and then discuss it. I don’t remember the exact time for the activity but I think it was 20 minutes, 10 for writing and 10 for discussion. Coming to my interview, I was the 7th candidate in my panel, hence there was a long wait after the GE-WAT rounds. There were 2 panelists in my panel, both males middle-aged. From here would be referring to them as P1 and P2. Entered the room, greeted them and took a seat.

P1: So, Ronit tell us something about yourself in brief.
Answer: Told them the well-rehearsed answer covering details about my academics, co-curricular and extra-curricular.

P2: So why did you choose this computer engineering as specialization in engineering and why not something else?
Answer: Told him about my love for technology and fascination with computers. Again a well-rehearsed answer.

P2: So what is the relation between MBA and Computer Engineering. You could have very well gone for doing masters. Why MBA after engineering?
Answer: I gave him the relation between MBA and engineering and why I wish to do an MBA.

P1: So tell us about your one greatest achievement in life which you are proud of
Answer: Told him about how I was proud to reach the finale of Smart India Hackathon 2017 and also being a team leader of the team. (They seemed satisfied with the answer).

P1: Since you have stated you were a team leader, what challenges did you face during the event?
Answer: Told him the challenge about time and also the extra responsibility when one of our teammates fell ill.

P2: And what were the values that you got to learn from this experience? Also how these values would help you in MBA?
Answer: Answered satisfactorily.

P1: So this is the last question from our side. Tell me one incident where you were stuck in a difficult situation and how did you come out of the situation?
Answer: Told him about certain financial issues.

P2: Thank you. That’s it from our side. Greeted them and came out of the interview room. The interview lasted around 15 to 20 minutes. Verdict: Converted.
