My interview experience at SJMSOM was perhaps one of my best experiences in this season's B-school PIs. With Interview days filled with long waiting times in Zoom Waiting Rooms, and going through the daily news repetitively for the latest information that might get asked in an interview, I had similar expectations from SJMSOM. On the contrary, when the mail for the interview call hit my inbox, I was in for a surprise. I was greeted by information regarding a new and unfamiliar platform Gather.
On D-Day itself, I joined the link and enjoyed the smooth documentation process on the platform. For my PI I had a panel of 3 Male professors, among which 1 was from an Economics background.
P1 focussed on my introduction and hobby, which was cricket. I was asked a plethora of questions on cricket both from recent news to old records. P2 focussed on my college education in the field of Computer Science, Machine Learning and tested some concepts of Data Science. He also questioned my future aspirations and goals. P3 tested me on various topics including world issues, knowledge of my hometown, home state, and some situational questions. So, it was a test of my knowledge, perseverance, and temperament.
In a nutshell, it was a great learning experience, and that is why I am ecstatic I am joining the Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management, IIT Bombay, this year.
