Hello everyone. I hope all of you are doing well.
I have graduated from IIEST Shibpur (formerly BESU) in 2019 and been working with PwC since then. However, I will soon be hopping on to my next journey wherein I will be joining SJMSOM-IIT Bombay, Batch of '23 for their MBA program and I am really looking forward towards spending the next two years of mine making the most of this amazing opportunity.
The past year has been a rollercoaster ride with its fair share of struggles and hardships along with the pandemic that encompassed the entire world. Amidst all this I gave CAT 2020 and secured a 98.08 percentile which was much lesser than what I had set out for. When I got the call from SJMSOM for the interview (which I must say I did not expect at all) I knew I had to somehow convert this.
Coming to the interview experience, throughout the past few months till now I can claim that this has been the most seamless interview process that I went through and I am sure a lot will echo the same sentiments.
They provided us with all the necessary compendiums and also the contact details of someone from the first year who would guide us for the interview. The unique part was when they told us that our interviews will be conducted on a platform named Gather which we needed to familiarise ourselves with. Even though initially we were skeptical but it turned out to be quite the opposite. The platform was like a small game and very easy to navigate. The process was very structured and through every step there were people to guide you. While we were waiting for our turn (the sequence of which was provided to us beforehand), they even showed us Tom & Jerry to calm the nerves which was very well thought of. Overall, it was very smooth and with zero roadblocks.
Kudos to the team for putting so much effort and providing a wonderful experience to all those who sat for the interview.
