"CAT is not just an Exam, But It's the gateway to your Completely Transformed Life Journey."
Ignition of Spark To Write CAT
During my undergraduation, I have participated in many competitions and served at leadership positions for many clubs, where I have got that big 'Management Experience'. After that point in 4th year, I have decided to pursue an MBA and make my career in Management.
I have joined a coaching and cleared basics, but then I have offered Sales & Marketing Role in one of the Top Automobile Firm in Rural Market Development. So, I have decided to explore the on-ground corporate situation before further diving into an MBA.
Before 8 months to CAT 19, I had started full-fledged preparation. I have started preparing with that Post MBA Picture in my mind, which serves as a strong motivator for me.
What Worked For Me In CAT?
- Relying heavily on mocks & analysing it thoroughly. (To analyse mocks is more important than to just take mocks)
- Revising quant formulas frequently & practising from diverse sources as well as past papers.
- Being focused on improving weak areas and not repeating the same mistakes again & again to maximize the score.
- Last but not the least, understanding the game of CAT to crack the Game. (THE ATTITUDE GAME, NOT AN APTITUDE GAME)
Why IRMA & Why Rural Management?
I have converted Premium Business Schools like VGSoM- IIT KGP, IRMA, IIM Nagpur, IIM Amritsar, IMT Ghaziabad, IMI, KJ-SIMSR, IIT Roorkee, DBE, DSE etc.
During B-school Selection, Aspirants always look after Packages, Placement Reports but Most of the Aspirants miss out on Curriculum, Vision, Roles offered post-MBA, Long Term future & Alumni Network.
My reasons behind Choosing IRMA are,
- Majority of Corporates are moving towards The most potential and Untapped Rural & Semi-Urban Market of India after Saturated Urban/Metro Cities Market. So, When It comes to Rural Management, No one does it better than IRMA in India.
- I want FMCG Sales & Marketing as a Job Role, So IRMA will give that on Ground Exposure to understand the real potential market for FMCGs.
- Unique Curriculum offering Subjects mix of Corporates, Policymaking & Development Sector, which would be vital to understand Indian Society & on-ground issues related to it.
- VFS Segment of 9 Weeks to Understand the actual Indian Consumer Behaviour through Spending time interacting with On Ground Last Consumers.
- Dr.Verghese Kurien's Vision to serve the underprivileged Society of India for Strong Root of India.
I believe that all these learning would give me enough Exposure to go miles in my aspirational Field of FMCG Sales & Marketing.
" Every premium B-School is the best in its own segment. So, select the B-School based on what you want in long term as a career, because whatever you will do post-MBA would be almost, for your whole life"
