Aditya Birla Group, an Indian Multinational and the third largest Indian private sector Conglomerate that is spread across 35 countries and operating in 14 industry segments. Let it be fashion, textile business, telecom services or the financial services, ABG have it’s mark in whichever segment we take and it continued to be the best always.
Starting from my 12
th standard when I bought my first bike, that let me roam around, learn things, explore and overcome my little fears at that age, which has it’s tyres from Birla black carbon and till date, when I recently bought the suit from Louis Philippe to attend the interviews at IIMs, to make myself look more elegant, ABG had always made it simpler to get what we want by delivering us the best in every segment that it is operating . Also, with the MORE stores, ABG had stepped into every single house and became a part of our families. It made things a lot easier for the women especially, to find all the groceries and other necessary things at one place, and of course all of them being the best at quality.
It has set some new standards of education among the private institutions by running BITS PILANI as one of the best private college for engineering in India. If we look at the path that ABG had been walking in, it depicts the true meaning of the title “ MAKE IN INDIA”. Even before anyone dreamt of such an idea, ABG had been implementing it in the best possible forms. If not ABG, who else can drive 120000 employees to work efficiently to provide the best to it’s customers and yet give a satisfactory life to it’s employees in all aspects. It could be possible to be so in the beginning to succeed, but being the same way every single day is what matters the most and ABG stands first at this.
It had always been a dream to study in the National Institutions which give us a vast scope to develop and empower ourselves as whole, the reasons being different starting from the academic standards, methods of teaching to the diversified student community that walks in every year into these institutions. And the pride that one can have, to quote him as a graduate from an IIT ,NIT or IIITs is another reason. I did my best in 12
th standard, appeared for JEE Mains and was able to secure a seat in IIIT, Jabalpur.
Oh,Yeah! I made it. But, not more than a week, I was able to live over there. All of a sudden, when I had to be away from home, it took me time to get adapted to the people, situations, food, seniors and lot more other issues over there. And the worst part was, not being aware of the fact that it takes much time, probably more than a week to get adapted or was I an afraid student to face it all new and all of a sudden, I withdrew my seat and returned home. In a week, I got admission into a local engineering college. I couldn’t say that it was so bad, but it was not something that I always dreamed of nor it was of the standard that could let me grow better as a person and learn better as an engineer. The four years of life during my under graduation, had been full of dissatisfaction and vexed with the exams that actually tested my memory power and nothing else. In my third year of engineering, I regretted my decision of returning from IIIT Jabalpur a lot more than ever before and decided to choose a path that would give me a so called – second chance, and I started preparing for the CAT exam. Yeah, I made it this time too. After appearing for several interviews at IIMs, of course with the elegant look gifted by a suit from Louis Philippe, I converted IIM Visakhapatnam’s call. And not again that I am going back home, because the life at IIM Visakhapatnam has already made me fall in love with it.
