Why Aditya Birla Group is big in your life Aditya Birla group being one of the premier business conglomerates has always been one of the forefront flag bearers in the development of India. Whether it is cement industry, telecom industry, insurances, garment industry it has always proved its mettle against all odds to became one of the best companies not just in India but worldwide. Among all the great achievements attained by the Aditya Birla group the industry that most influenced me was the UltraTech cement industry. It was the very cement that helped my father to build his business. The moto of commitment and trust is the very foundation of UltraTech cement. Its shibboleth “The Engineer’s choice” is something that it truly justifies. My father being a civil construction engineer himself built his own carrier with help UltraTech cement. When it came to trust he would not negotiate, he would never compromise his work at all cost, it was a principle he would never give up and it was UltraTech cements that stood by him in his successful journey. It was not just a professional trust that my father had for UltraTech but he used the very same cement to lay down the foundation of our house, to bind the bricks for our house and it was the very trust that made the house our very home sweet home. It was the very house in which I took my first steps, hand painted the walls and so many memories which became possible only because of the trust my father had for UltraTech cement. To be true everything I am today has a lot to with the trust that Ultratech it had built with my family. It did not just built the foundation for the houses that my father built, but built the hope for the families who lived in it, it did not just bind the bricks but also helped in binding the dreams of people.

How you overcame challenges to achieve your ambitions in life so far.

“You’re the shell of the person I once knew. When I talk, I know you can hear, But I barely feel your spirit lingering near. You've given up... at least part way. I can't help but envision the words that you'd say if you weren't the shell of a person I once knew. You express your love for me, but that's just it. You'd rather I come and quietly sit. I wish you were more than the shell of a person I once knew. I love you with all of my heart and soul. Sometimes I feel like I'm losing control because it's hard to see the shell of a person I once knew.”                                                                                                                                                   - Juli Nielsen (author of the quote)                                                                                                                                                                            790,560,000 seconds or 13,176,000 minutes or 219,600 hours which is equivalent to 25 years and 20 days; that is the number of days I have lived under the warm blessings of my father. Whenever I was in a fix or in trouble all I needed to do was close my eyes and think about how he made through the harsh struggles in his life and made it this far. I knew whatever be, he will be behind me to hold my back. In my life I have faced many challenges to reach this far, whether it was financial, emotional, challenges in studies, family and many others but none shook me the most than news that came to me nearly seven months ago. It was the day which changed me the most, made me realize what it meant, to step into the shoes of my father, it was the day when I came to know that my father had been diagnosed with severe case of subdural hematoma. His ailment was diagnosed at latter stages and it is in a state which cannot be operated without risking severe damages to his brain. It was the day which broke me and my family and was the day when I was left with no choice than to become the Man of the house. My father was foundation of our house on whose shoulder and strength we grew, but now he is no longer the man I knew, he is now just the shell of the person I once knew. The news of his ailment was just the start of tribulation, it was just the beginning of a long line of tragedy that was yet to come. My father suffered a heart attack in a couple of weeks which triggered an early onset of Alzheimer followed with paralysis to the limbs on right side. It was the time when I heard the most painful thing a father can say to a son – “Who are you?” The person who once taught me to walk, pedal a bicycle now could not remember who I was.                                                 That was the day when I saw the strongest man of my life to crumble and succumb to the miseries. To me it was the most life changing and painful challenge that I ever faced because it was the first time I had no one to stand behind me and say “ Don’t worry, go on I am there”. I had to become stronger and better to carry on my father’s name, burden the responsibilities. Reaching this far was never a bed of roses but a shrub of thorns which I had endured to achieve what I wanted. To me doing MBA was like the choice of "To be, or not to be" from the opening phrase of a soliloquy uttered by Prince Hamlet in the so-called "nunnery scene" of William Shakespeare's play Hamlet. The time had come to overcome every pain, sorrow and to rise above to achieve what I dream of, what my parents had dreamed for me, to cross my limits and go beyond, to become the best version of myself, to exert not 100, but 1000 percent of what I can. I know it is just the start of a long road, but I will pass every hurdle to achieve my dreams.
