Getting into JBIMS was one of my dream with which I started my MBA preparation, and here I am 2 years later describing about one of my many memorable moments spent in the 1
st year at this prestigious Institute.
One of the most unique things about JBIMS is its considerably small batch size of 140 people. The reason I find this thing unique is because the small batch size has helped each one of us to personally know each other since the time of our Induction. I remember the time of our Induction period in the very beginning of our 2-year journey, we were all very excited and proud of ourselves to have made it here. With a stroke of nervousness, we were sitting in the K. S. Basu Auditorium, named after the first Director of JBIMS, when our seniors walked in and the first thing they asked us who all can speak for 2 min about the person sitting next to them and none of us could raise our hand in confidence. That is when we have explained the importance of the small batch size we have. We were told, and now I believe it too, that we are lucky to be here as we will pass out from here personally knowing 140 more people who can change our lives. So it became our routine for the entire Induction process, to talk to different people in the batch and try to know about them. This not only helped us know about each other but gave us memories and friends for lifetime. I thank my seniors for this initiative as it gave me the confidence to open up and talk to anybody out there. This is my first and one of the most memorable memory of JBIMS till date.
ABG Company I want on campus – Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd.
I come from a business family and we are into apparel retail business. My family is in this business for 30 years now and so I have seen how this industry works for my entire life. We have grown from a small 20x15x10 cu. ft. boutique to owning 3 big showrooms in the town of Aurangabad in Maharashtra. I have seen my father and uncles sweat it out to make little progress each day. Also, I want to pursue my career in the marketing field which I think will help if I work in the apparel industry as it requires a strong marketing game to succeed in this industry. Thus if Aditya Birla fashion and retail company comes to JBIMS for campus placements I will be more than happy to apply for it and kick-start my corporate career with such a prestigious brand.
