I started my CAT prep in March 2022 with solving previous year paper. I did poorly in it but it made me realize that with proper preparation I can crack CAT. I solved my coaching material and then focussed on mocks. I gave more than 50 mocks and solved around 60 sectionals. Don't let this number itimidate you. I did this by giving 2hrs on weekdays and 3-4hrs on weekends. CAT is not about studying long hours but about consistency.

For me mocks played the most crucial role. After giving mocks I used to analyze them for nearly 6 hours initially, resolving the paper, revisiting the thought process for choosing the answer, trying to figure out my weak areas and then strategize how I would appear in my next mock. I took mocks from CL and IMS, and CL provided me with the option to give mock at their centre and I gave half of my mocks at there centre to familarize myself with the situation of the exam.

With this much experience in mocks it helped in the CAT exam where I made a mess in DILR and Quants section however I was able to somewhat recover because of being used to face similar situations amd I landed up with a 98.30 %ile.
My best call was IIM Kozhikode and I was keen on coverting it. I joined CrackWithUs for my interview preparartion. However there is a saying "Life is not a straight line but a roller coaster". My grandfather got hospitalized and on 2nd March, a day prior to IIM K interview, my father called from the hospital saying that he may not make it till the next day. My family was shocked and we rushed to the hospital, with his grit my grandfather survived that day however he was in a very critical state. Next day I told my mother that I don't want to appear for the interview but she insisted me to go and give the interview. In UBER I started looking for recent news and other interview experiences. I had my interview in Kenilworth Hotel, Kolkata. The process was divided into 2 parts, at first we had to right a essay (WAT) and then PI. WAT went really well for me. I had a decent PI but was unable to answer some academic questions so I was not sure about the results.

On 6th May at around 4 P.M. in the evening I was watching Netfix when I whatsapp message popped up "IIM K results are out", my heart stopped beating for a second. I tried to open their website but the website was down and I was sat for nearly 1:30 hrs waiting for the site to open and meantime my anxiety was on another level. Finally website opened and I coverted IIM K. My family who was also with me cheered when they saw the screen. I felt this was the best day of my life.
