With the notification popping on my phone screen and nerves full of excitement, I hurriedly read the offer letter asking me to join from 8 th April’2019. The big curve on my face suddenly narrowed down when I confusingly gazed at the location – Vedanta Limited, Lanjigarh! Never did I know that the upcoming two months at Lanjigarh (a small town in Kalahandi district of Odisha) would turn out to be a lifetime memorable experience, the imprint of which would never fade away!
With the formal suit on and the anxiety hormones rushing up and down my body, I entered the HR department of Vedanta Limited, Lanjigarh.
I was assigned with the induction schedule and one of the best persons of the HR department as my mentor. Never did I feel the gap between being an intern and an employee, the HR family always pampered and helped beyond limits. Learning was boundless here, every day, every moment I was learning and grasping something very novel which would help me in furnishing and garnishing my career path.
To be specific, my main project was “Exit Analysis” under the profile “Talent Acquisition and Management”, but never was I limited only to the project. I was exposed to all the working profiles of the department along with various other departments. I got the opportunity to work and launch the pre onboarding app which further enhanced my learning experience. My fate was shiny and I got the opportunity to intern here at Vedanta that too at Lanjigarh! Xinternship was successful!
Lastly, I would conclude by saying – “I love Lanjigarh!"
