Why Aditya Birla Group Is Big In My Life:
Firstly I would like to give a brief introduction of myself, I come from a lower-middle class family from a small village in West Bengal with roots of an agricultural family. I have seen and used Aditya Birla Group products from a very young age. Starting from the use of Birla Balwan for the paddy fields, to using Ultratech cement in building new concrete homes in place of the old fashioned wooden ones which we had.
Also in my college days I had a knack of visiting pantaloons store outlet near my college, which had different range of fashion wears at a different set of price ranges. Which provided me great deal of flexibility choosing across newer fashion with a choice in different set of price ranges affordable. These as well as the Peter England apparel stores helped me and my Father, who are apparently a big fan of the brand in selecting wide range of apparels specially in the time of Durga pujas in Kolkata, probably the biggest festival of West Bengal.
The association with Aditya Birla Group was not just limited to this. As I moved at the later stages of my life shifting to Bangalore for my new Job, it was a new place, a new venture in life. Even there I had a one stop shop destination for myself known as More Megastore, where I could get all the products, ranging from Household products, Food and Grocery items, crockery etc.
It was a go to destination for me since first of all it was near to my place and second it provided a large number of offers and discounts in terms of in store promotions as well as offers in payment modes.
Also since the store was one which had all sorts of new technology as well as had instant payment access in the form of Digital payment modes, which was a new technology access in malls, since we do not have to carry the wallets and could shop only using our smart phones, promoting Digital India.
In all knowingly or unknowingly Aditya Birla was part of me and has shaped the whole course of journey of my life.
How Have I Made An Impact despite the odds in Life:
To start off, the place which held my roots had only a handful of good schools with not so many good teachers within reach. This story is about the time when I was young and was preparing for my 12th standard exam from a newly opened Delhi Public School in Siliguri. It is the most important time of anybody's life since the results of Boards exams and the competitive exams known as entrance tests would shape-up the journey of the rest of one's life. Being in Siliguri I had little access to coaching centers and entrance related coaching teachers, on top of that just before my boards exam I had met with a serious injury in the form of ankle bone fracture which I encountered in Football field.
This was a serious blow to me and my aspirations just before my pre-board exams as I was instructed a 6 month bed rest from the Doctor, which meant that I could not attend my school as well as private tuitions for a long period of time, also the prospect that boards exams were near.
It was at this time period when I requested the principal to grant me to sit for my exams even without attending classes for the rest of my school days, which he granted and let me sit for the pre-boards in a separate room with a bed. This hampered my studies but still made use of most of the time studying and reading books. Even in immense pain and hardships I was able to cope up with most and fared well in my 12th Boards subsequently had been admitted to one of the best and prestigious colleges in Engineering namely Jadavpur University through the WBJEE entrance examinations. Now after that incident when I am well once again neither have I stopped playing Football as it is something I love with all my heart nor I have been let down in any phase in life. I just wanted to state the fact that hardships come all the way in life, but the way we tackle it to achieve great heights with a positive "can do it" mindset along with with a calm approach is what makes us and shapes us into who we are.
