I was pursuing my graduation in physics when it all started. My daily routine was attending my classes and give tuition to my students (9th and 10th) and with the rest of the time, I used to prepare for SBI PO. Since starting time management was a big challenge for me. I had to travel around 30km (back and forth) to teach my students. It took me about 5 to 6 hours. So there was a scarcity of time for my preparation.
One fine day my friend told me about MBA and made me aware of CAT, life in premier B-school, corporate life, etc. I wanted to study in India’s premier colleges but I was not interested in engineering so IIT was not an option and unaware of MBA so IIM was unknown to me. Till that day I believed that life is all about govt. job but thanks to my friend who showed me the glimpse of the outer world. She was the one who helped me to know about my potential and helped me through the whole journey.
Before starting preparation for CAT I was in dilemma, should I go for CAT or not. Time scarcity was one of the factors for not going for CAT but opportunity lies on the verge of possibility. I talked to my parents and they supported me and said whatever I want I can do, they were not going to force anything on me. At one point of time to reduce the scarcity of time I decided to stop teaching but luckily I didn’t stop and continued with teaching.
Now all platforms were set I took admission in one of the institutes and started preparation with a positive mindset, I can do it. I used to teach maths and science to my students and it helped me in building my concepts and basics in the quant section. I still remember sometimes I got demotivated and frustrated because of not able to manage my time but she always supported me encouraged me. She also helped me in my preparation. She used to ask me questions and need the answers immediately, no matter where I am and I solved her problem whether I am in auto, on the footpath, on the way back home. She plays a vital role in my journey.
Now preparation time was over and its time for D-day. After the exam, I had a hope that I would get interview calls from IIMs. After waiting long time results came and finally I got an interview call from CAP. I was already preparing for the interview and after results, it was time to gear up my preparation. I knew that I had to be in business attire but I was not having any. So I ordered blazer, trouser, shirt of van Heusen an Aditya Birla product. I must have used ABG product knowingly and unknowingly but this time it was something different. It was going to be a part of my life’s best moment. For the first time I was in business formals and went to the venue for the interview it went good and returned with positive feelings.
Again I was in business formals and it was the best part of my life. I was in the induction program of IIM Ranchi. Yes, I converted IIM Ranchi and now I am a part of IIM family.
Thanks to my parents, friend, and teachers for their support and blessings. Thanks to the ABG group to be part of my life.
