Xavier School of Human Resource Management. The name appeals for itself. The heavy weight that the brand carries all over the country is not the only factor that made me take a decision to land here, XUBALAND, as it is called. The feeling of being a part of XAHR started much earlier than our inception. Yes, thanks to the Illuminatix committee for showing great enthusiasm and responsibility towards the new XUBians. Be it a doubt so trivial as what toiletries should we carry with us, to the most important queries of academics and placements, they have always responded us with a lot of enthusiasm. Their dedication towards ensuring that we face no issues in our joining, gave us a majestic impression of the culture that is followed by the university.
Apart from this, the well maintained infrastructure and crowd makes the university look like a small quiet empire of a lot of intellectual people bonded together as family. The huge view of XUB standing at the top of the building fills a sense of pride and determination in us.
With so much excitement and apprehension, came the day of joining, 18th June 2018. Pumped up with a lot of enthusiasm for the five-long-days orientation, we were made acquainted with the student bodies, various committees and esteemed professors. The speeches given by the professors startled us with their outstanding experiences and achievements. Yes, I had taken the right decision and I was being surer of it as the days passed. Now, it has not been even a month and I have so much to brag about my institution, its culture, the student bodies, the unity that we hold, etc. The tight academics schedule, heap of assignments from the day start, immediate batch meets right after the classes drained a lot of strength out of me but at the same time the alumnus visits, elections, committee launches, X-sports, X-Capade and various competitions gave a boost and made us realized how the life in a B-school should be. I am still exploring myself and learning to manage the “B-school” life. Hoping to learn a lot, enjoy to the fullest and make everlasting memories.
Which ABG group I would like to join and why?
I would like to join the Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited because of the inclination I have towards fashion. Shopping is what I love and apparels are those I treasure. It franchises a lot of popular brands like Louis Philippe, Allen Solly, People, Van Heusen, Peter England and many multi-brand apparel- retailing outlets like pantaloons, The Collective, Planet Fashion etc that has created a benchmark for all the shopping mongers to crave for their vast collection. Nothing is better than working for a firm you love to be in and when the firm is about fashion!!!! It’s icing on the cake!!!!
