The moment you register yourself as a student of IIM Ranchi you can very well expect your life to change. And change for the better. Life at IIM Ranchi has various facets to it. The housing facilities are situated in Khelgaon amidst the scenic beauty of Ranchi where each student gets to realize a long harbored dream of having a single occupancy room. The door to the balconies open a door to another world, a world where you get the chance to reflect, retrospect and introspect while the voices of the children playing in the ground below are like sweet symphonies that warm your heart. At any point in the day or night, you can travel down a flight of stairs to reach the cafeteria where varieties of noodles add flavor to your life.

Being in IIM Ranchi, there is no dearth of activities for a student to be a part of. There are not only the assignments to be completed, cases to be analysed and quizzes to be studied but also the selection activities for various clubs and committees going on currently which usually take place in hostel after 6pm. At the same time the deadlines for each of the tasks have to be meticulously followed.  The work is indeed hectic but with each passing day you learn effective management of time and hone your managerial skills in such a manner that enable you to become more competent as an effective manager.

However, work is not all that is done in IIM Ranchi. Here, you get a chance to explore your hidden talents as numerous opportunities are offered to you to discover yourself and showcase your skills in various creative arts. Facilities for recreational activities are plenty. If you want to play table tennis, carrom or chess, all you need is a willing partner and you can indulge in these indoor sports very well within the premises of our hostel. If you are attending classes for a long number of hours, it is important to prevent yourself from falling into a sedentary lifestyle. This is very well achieved in IIM Ranchi where all the students have access to a well-equipped gym, where students can be seen working out to maintain the optimum level of fitness necessary to give their best in whatever they do. And the best part is that, all nature lovers can very well go for a ride on their bicycle to explore the terrain of Khelgaon. There is a very friendly atmosphere in IIM Ranchi as students try to help each other not only in academics but also in everyday life.  Even in the middle of the night, group of students can be seen sitting together working or simply indulging in a constructive conversation with each other. Irrespective of the high level of competition as far as academics are considered, students are still there for each other, looking out for each other as the IIM Ranchi family marches ahead, establishing itself as an exemplary organization where the focus is on holistic development of an individual.
