Although I have never attended any session or class in any other B-school in India, I have been to a few of them and talked to students from these B-schools many times regarding many things including academics, infrastructure, environment, and facilities.
I will start by talking about the academics as we put academics on top priority and strive for being the best B-school in it. The pedagogy is case-based which is common across all prestigious B-schools of the country but, the structure which is followed to make the best use out of these cases is somewhat unique to IIM Udaipur. Every professor tries to extract the maximum learning out of every case-study in the form of presentations and asking the students to draw suggestions for the situation in the case before the class. It gives every student an opportunity where one is not confined to apply any fixed framework or formulas which are recommended or mentioned in the course. This process opens up doors for ideas and solutions for the situation apart from one finally concluded in the class.
Talking about the infrastructure, we have the largest campus among all other IIMs in the country currently having an academic session. The campus is situated in beautiful valleys of the Aravalli 8 km away from the city railway station. We have all the basic amenities up and running. What makes the campus unique is the scenery around it. You would never get tired enjoying the view in and around the campus in all seasons. I am sure that can’t be possible in any other college in the country let alone B-schools.
The environment is very conducive and helping to all. The college believes in the spirit of entrepreneurship, and we have witnessed many of our successful start-ups operating currently in the market. The average number of start-ups opened up by our alumni is far more than any other B-school in the country, and that makes the institute unique from all others. Every student in the campus is eager to help others in their capacity which shows the harmony and level of bonding in students of IIM Udaipur.
However, being so indulged in academics and other curricular & co-curricular activities doesn’t mean we don’t have fun or we don’t party. The sole motto of the students here is “Work Hard Party Harder.” We live by this very motto and do everything possible to exemplify it in every sense.

Ultratech Cement would be the choice of the company of all. I did my bachelors in civil engineering and like to connect to the construction industry in a way. The infrastructure growth rate in India is unmatchable in the world, and it is going to be even more. The first thing which India requires in both quantity and quality is building materials. Moreover, the primary and most important building material is cement. To match with the pace of development of infrastructure in India Aditya Birla Group’s Ultratech Cement will also grow at the same rate or even more. The company is already at number one regarding sales and counted among the world’s largest cement manufacturers. By joining the company, I will have the experience of working in an established multi-national and a start-up which has a long-term goal of increasing its sales and customer base to manifolds.
