The Aditya Birla Group is an iconic Indian business behemoth, a Fortune 500 organisation consisting of companies in the clothing, infrastructure, Telecommunication and Financial Services sectors among others. The organisation has won innumerable accolades since its inception 1857, and has touched the lives of millions of Indians. Personally, I have made use of various offerings from the group, but the one brand that I’d say has left a lasting impression on my life is Louis Phillippe. The shirts I wore to all my MBA interviews, were all from Louis Phillipe, which says something about the brand’s quality, considering I chose this brand among the numerous available, on days which would most likely be imperative to how my remaining life turned out. That a person is comfortable in their own skin, is essential to leave any kind of positive impact in an interview, or even generally in life. These shirts from the brand were an immense confidence booster for me personally, right when I needed it the most. The thing is, my academic scores during my school years, and even later on, in my first college were largely unenviable, and in MBA entrances, your past profile matters, to vet the kind of person you have been throughout, and performing academically well consistently is a big part of the equation. The fact that I might have been at a disadvantage in this important past academic aspect of the selection criteria did not sit well with me and could’ve hurt my chances even more had I let that fact get to me psychologically.  Here, feeling confident of my own worth and abilities was of paramount importance, and my psyche certainly benefitted from being comfortable in my outfit, a major component of which were the shirts, (and occasionally even the trousers!) I had bought from the Louis Phillipe store right near my house in Delhi. As it turns out, I was indeed able to ace my MBA interviews, and I’m currently a student at IIM Rohtak, where I continue to rely on fittings by the Louis Phillipe brand of the Aditya Birla Group, owing to the superior comfort and look of the clothes in the brand’s collection.
