A beautiful hillock surrounded by an abundance of green and golden sunshine with purple skies; that was my first impression of the “castle on the hill”. And like a real castle, the campus welcomed me with knights (security guards) and long snake ways, which ran to the top of the hill. At once my anxieties about my future (read: placements, academics) were forgotten. This castle never seems to amaze me even today, as I complete one whole year of adventurous MBA life. Its scenic beauty is unparalleled. The campus boasts of more than 20 variety of flora as well as 80 species of avifauna, not to forget beloved humans (students) who hail from all parts of the country. This place is a photographer’s delight. And as one of the photography enthusiasts, I find every nook and corner of my campus engaging. Sunset is my favourite time of the day, which helps me relax after an arduous academic schedule. All in all, IIM Indore has the most stunning campus in India.
Which ABG company would you want to work for and why?
I want to work with Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited which deals primarily with formals and casual clothing for men, women and children. With a plethora of brands including Pantaloons, People, Forever 21, Van Heusen, Allen Solly, Peter England, Louis Phillipe and many more. ABFRL is the leading conglomerate in the fashion and retail industry. Coming from a business-oriented family, I have always wanted to learn more about the retail and fashion industry. How it operates internally, their fashion sense and the secret mantra that has helped them become successful not only in India but all across the globe.
