National Institute of Industrial Engineering is one such classic example.
Located in the heart of the economic capital of India, NITIE, Mumbai spreads in an area of about 65 acres. The lush green campus isolates it from the hustle of the city and fills it with an amazing serenity. The canopied tress covers the pathway and surrounds the high rise hostel buildings of Taylor and Gilbreth Hall. The academic building sits on the throne of the campus amid a soothing breeze. The entire blend of nature with our institute is further complemented by a pond in a stretch of 150m that sits calmly by the side of the main entrance. The beauty is at its peak during monsoon when trees drip with water and rains rejuvenate our NITIE lake. The students thronging the roads to reach classes ,the famous 96 steps -stairway stands tall daring us to climb to glory, the sports ground and the picturesque view from the hill top are few of many delights for every NITIEzen here. And yes, we proudly call this modern gem of nature-human adaptability as God’s own campus.

Established in 1963 with the assistance of United Nations Development Program, the institute has produced a rich line of professionals that have been driving the industries and assisted in achieving various milestones. The rich alum base of the institute have marked their presence in various roles at top MNCs of the world. NITIE has decided to act as driving force not only in manufacturing sector but all dynamic sectors of the Indian economy. It has aligned its vision and activities in line with the current and future needs of the Indian economy and its vibrant and growing sectors. The field of mechanical engineering has various learnings that can easily find its application in a technically rich organization like Hindalco. The operations that add value to the successful output of the company have always intrigued me. Pursuing PGDIE from NITIE complements my goal of better understanding and management of these processes and I look forward to the successful implementation of my skills and learnings developed here. In nutshell, my inclination toward Hindalco can be attributed
to the fact that it offers a healthy techno-managerial profile with a comprehensive personal growth.
