What Makes NITIE Unique - Mahesh Pol

I am very proud to be part of National Institute of Institute Engineering, Mumbai popularly known as NITIE. We as NITIEzen are exploring well organized campus in the heart of the Financial capital of India Mumbai. Just after entering main gate of NITIE we see sky touching building popularly known as Taylor hall. In NITIE each and every building have the name of the scientist who has given various theories to Industrial Engineering e.g. Taylor, Gilbreth. NITIE is having its own pond popularly known as NITIE pond here we always find ducks swimming and playing around the pond. Sunset at NITIE pond is most memorizing scenery in my life. Clicking photos of sunset, ducks, coconut trees and Taylor hall from the pond gives an amazing feeling. Walking around NITIE pond gives relax, stress relieving feeling. From our childhood, we are used to having pets like Cats, dogs but in NITIE we accidentally found various types of snakes. There are highly enthusiastic, trained the snake rescuer team who always used to take the snakes and send back to the forest. In NITIE we used to climb 96 steps daily which is popularly called as 96 steps of success, on the other hand, it gives an ample amount of exercise. On the other hand, talking about academic interest, we are having an academic library which provides an ample amount of book, journals, audio/video contents in the field of industrial engineering and other specialization. Solar and Wind power division
Wind power generation capacity in India has significantly increased in recent years. As of 31 March 2018 the total installed wind power capacity was 34.04 GW and we are the fourth largest installed wind power capacity in the world. Similarly, solar installed capacity reached 20 GW. The 20 GW capacity was initially targeted for 2022 but the government achieved the target four years ahead of schedule. Out of 100% only 4.7% energy is produced by solar and wind power generation combined, on the other hand Share of fossil energy is 81.9%. As we know the growing need of renewable energy resources there is sufficient need of manpower to research and install the power stations. There is necessity of power stations for nation environment security and nation building.
Following are the impactful points about these division-
1. The project is environment friendly.
2. India has good wind potential to harness wind energy.
3. A permanent shield against ever increasing power prices. The cost per kwh reduces over a period of time as against rising cost for conventional power projects.
4. The cheapest source of electrical energy.
5. A project with the fastest payback period.
6. Operation and Maintenance costs are low.
7. A project with no investment in manpower.
