My MDI experience
It’s hardly been a month at MDI but it already feels like home. My journey at MDI has been like a child’s upbringing. When a child is born, he requires constant care and support of his family. Likewise, my seniors at MDI didn’t leave any stone unturned in supporting and guiding me as I gradually stepped into the B-school life. However, we must understand that parents’ role isn’t limited to love, care and support, they must prepare the child for the upcoming challenges in life. Likewise my seniors guided me step by step as I went through the merciless grind which B-schools are infamous for. Yet MDI firmly believes that all work and no play makes jack a dull boy so amidst all the academic rigor we have inter-section sports competition as we battle it out to become King of Kings and just when I thought I’ve done enough – survived the grind - and started to feel proud of myself, I was humbled by my extraordinarily talented peer group who redefine achievement altogether and having realized this I go for the grind all over again feeling stronger and upbeat for the next upcoming challenge like a child who confidently stands up after stumbling, ready for his next step.
ABG
At ABG I would like to work for Hindalco as it is the largest aluminum producer in India and also a pioneer in aluminium extraction technology. It is known all over the world not just for its high-quality aluminium products but also for its contribution to the society. Aditya Birla Group believes in holistic development of the society at large including its employees and the neighboring areas as well. Their relentless efforts have resulted in several achievements such as Global CSR excellence & leadership award, Rashtra vibhushan gold award, IDA award to name a few. It also has numerous attractive HR policies such as awoo scholarship, pratibha scholarships, near relations policy, policy for encouraging work life balance etc which provides not just for the employee but for his/her family as well which make it an employer of choice. It was also awarded the AON best employer award in 2018 for the third time in the last seven years which testifies to its commitment towards building a harmonious and growth conducive work environment. Besides it is an honor to work for the business conglomerate which has played a key role in shaping the Indian economy and bringing it to the place where it is today and even extending the influence to 36 other nations or as they say at ABG – “Taking India to the world”.
