“Good design is actually a lot harder to notice than poor design, in part good designs fit so well that the design is invisible.” The association with Aditya Birla group to me and my family has a very long history. Being born and brought in the cultural heritage city of Mysore, where culture and traditional are imbibed in every individual, Aditya Birla has been able to touch many lives immensely. The festivities like marriage, deevali and other functions was an integral part of our family. Any marriage in a typical Indian context would involve lot of shopping especially clothing. A marriage is never complete without a typical three piece suit from Peter England. The one stop solution for this purpose has always been Peter England. From my Grandfather to my father and finally to me Peter England brings in that sense of pride and belongings to the brand which I do think will fade anytime soon. As marketers use the term "Brand recall "is very eminent in my family towards Peter England .The product offering and designs fit so well that the design is invisible and only thing that remains is the brand. Also how can one forget Peter England offers apparel that cater to every fashion occasion of a young professional’s life. The first ever interview that I attended was one with wearing a peter England’s suit. The inner strength and confidence that it imparts on you is really amazing. This association with Peter England will always remain in heart forever.
It was during my fourth year of engineering that I realized that mechanical engineering was not something I intended to take up as a career. Right from my school days I was involved in event management activities and other leadership roles of the school. Taking these traits as indicator for a successful management career I decide to take up CAT exam (Entrance exam for prestigious B schools in India). I put my heart out and prepared my level best for the exam. I took numbers of mock tests to sharpen my skill sets. After rigorous hard work for 6 months finally the D-day arrived. Most people say Cat is 50 % preparation and rest 50 % how well you perform on the D-day. The mindset has to be pin perfect to ace such high competitive exams. But on the D-Day I failed and failed poorly. I was not able cope up to the pressure of writing such national level exam. I scored a mere 74 percentile which was no way near the cut off marks for top B schools .But with great grit and determination I returned to study desk and decided that I’ll start preparing for next year immediately. Perseverance and dedication were put above all. I spent at least 4 hours a day for my CAT preparation along with my job. Regular mock tests simulated real exam scenarios which helped to overcome the pressure of 3 hrs exams.Im really proud that all these efforts did not go in vain as I was able to get a percentile of 91 in the next exam
