We, Homo sapiens used to be hunters and gatherers and would walk to wherever the best food and resources happened to be while living in momentary shelters. But civilization and inventions have enabled us to live in permanent homes and now we spend 90% of our time indoors. It is home where we eat, sleep, rest after a long exhausting day. It is home where we feel safe and where can be ourselves, find ourselves in-out and charge ourselves for the next day. Very rarely do we express gratitude to our home for holding us, keeping us safe, being with us, watching over us that many years since our birth. But we do love our home deep inside us and with that, I love and will always be thankful to Ultratech Cement for keeping my home strong and intact and youthful being an integral part of it. You have been part of my life for years and will remain so in the future and I believe millions of lives worldwide have similar stories to share. As in today's world besides other things, we also need to go along with the fashion trends and wear according to location and time, I being bad in choosing fashion found relief after finding brands like Peter England, Van Heusen, Louis Philippe etc. whom I can trust blindly for most of my clothing needs. Finally, how can I let go of this opportunity without saying a few words about a well-established, stupendous and eminent entity without whom I would have been deprived of most of the basic needs of our daily life. Yes it is none other than the Idea network which has been always there with me whenever I was far from home, which kept my family and friends close to me all the time and which has been always there whenever I was all alone bored and wanted to watch my favorite web series or movies or work on projects. Aditya Birla Group has been with me while growing up since my childhood and will remain part of my life in the future as I reach new heights. Life shows its thrilling and exciting nature to us right from the moment we come into existence on this beautiful planet. We often lose ourselves in this dramatic inconstant puzzle called life but we learn to sail through as we find our destination. My story is also of a similar kind. I am a kind of person who cannot keep doing things that don’t bring any significance. I am an average guy with average academics my whole life and currently studying in one of the prestigious business schools of India, IIM Raipur. This is not a story of how an average guy made it to IIM Raipur rather it’s a story of how a guy with once no ambition in life found a purpose in life and fought to fulfill it overcoming the hurdles that stood in between. After 12 th , I went for engineering just because I didn’t like biology with no idea what I was going to do in future. By the time I was in second year I realized that this life was not for me and started disliking engineering. At the same time I started following some of the best entrepreneurs and decided to try that and dropped out from college in final year to pursue entrepreneurship. It was after living an entrepreneurial life for more than 2 years I realized my passion and found purpose in life. For the first time in life I wanted to learn something academically in depth and that is business. Since I was a college dropout no business school was taking me in and with hate and fear growing in my mind that I would not be able to pass engineering subjects and the thoughts of going back to that place again put me in depression for some days. But at the same time my first love in life (my purpose) was calling me and this is what gave me all the motivation, courage and strength to overcome fear and go back and live an isolated life far from home for 2 years, get degree and clear CAT. These 2 years have taught me some of the most important lessons in life like patience, self-discipline, hope, faith, decisiveness, perseverance which would not be possible otherwise and I am really thankful for this experience and now I am more ready than ever to take any challenge that comes and win over it on the way of realizing my purpose of life.
