One thing which always challenges me is Stage fear.

Since the early years of my life, I dreaded going on to the stage. Whenever I went to the

stage, I could not collect my thoughts and the words just did not come out. I felt

embarrassed and developed a little fear of the stage. But deep down in my heart I wanted

to be good at public speaking.  I certainly do get “butterflies in the stomach” when I

speak, but I crave the challenge of holding an audience’s attention and sharing

information that will be helpful to them. I started practicing in front of the mirror. Then, I

took the help of my sister to hone my speaking skills. I faced this fear of my mine by

participating in multiple declamation events in school and college.

One thing I adapted is to include a personal experience early on my speech which helps

audience to connect to me and therefore I get comfortable.

I derived that actually there nothing like fear. It is the mental block which stops us to

perform certain action. I realized that once you start to overcome your challenges

everything around you becomes easy. The key is determination and belief in yourself.

All you have to do is out in the effort and the time and all your challenges will convert

into success.

Recently when I was chosen as the anchor of the commerce fest, I realized how far I

have come up against my fear.
