Why Aditya Birla Group is big in your life.
Aditya Birla Group is one of the biggest conglomerates in India. ABG is omnipresent
in most of the leading sectors in India. Its Ultratech Cement is one of the biggest
manufacturers of cement and is responsible for providing 90000 tonnes of cement
for the Bandra-Worli Sea link in Mumbai. The Idea Cellular network is not a new
name which is famous for its quirky ads and its punchline “What an idea Sirji?”
attracted many people. Idea provides network coverage in the remotest of areas and
keeps even those people connected who are thousands of kilometers away from
each other. I have personally been a user of Idea for a long time.
The first set of formals which I bought was from Louis Philippe. At first, I thought it to
be an international brand given the name but I was later shocked to know that it
came under Aditya Birla Group which also houses other premium brands like Van
Heusen, Peter England, and others. These formals are very close to my heart as
they helped me crack important college interviews.
Also being a Finance enthusiast I have been involved with Aditya Birla Capital
Limited and invested in their mutual fund schemes. I was able to convince my father
into investing after telling him that the fund is managed by Aditya Birla Group and he
had no hesitations after that as Aditya Birla Group is equivalent to a bank where the
money can be safe and can earn a fruitful return.
That is the impact Aditya Birla Group has created not just in my life but for everyone
around us.
How you overcame challenges to achieve your ambitions in life so
far.
The biggest challenge I have ever faced in my life is overcoming my feeling of
self-doubt. Being at the lowest point of your life at a very young age shakes an
individual inside out and overcoming that phase is a journey in itself which makes
you wiser and stronger.
This happened when I was in Standard XII and was preparing for my board exams. I
was an above average student all throughout my life but I faced the biggest shock in
my life when I scored a mere 45% in my pre-board exam. With the ambition of
joining St.Xavier’s College, Kolkata which required a cut-off of 90% in ISC I was in
complete desolation. I had no zeal towards working on my ambition and had
accepted the fact that I won’t be able to make it to St.Xavier’s. After being in a
miserable state of mind for a week, I realized that at the end of the day, you are
solely responsible for your success and your failure. And the sooner you realize that
you accept that, and integrate that into your life, you will start being successful. As
long as you blame others for the reason you aren't where you want to be, you will
always be a failure. For four months I worked very hard. In these four months
studying wasn’t even the hardest part but having self-motivation and overcoming
self-doubt was. I realized that failure cannot overtake me if my determination to
succeed is strong enough.
Hence, with months of hard work, sleepless nights, staying motivated I was finally
able to come out of my self-doubt and getting into St.Xavier’s was just a by-product
of it. The lessons which I learned in those four months helped me face any challenge
in my life.
