With the best corporate exposure on one hand  to the most memorable moments on the other- to say that my experience over the past year at Athena School of Management, Mumbai was eventful would be an understatement!            I still remember, from early morning classes, to running around for assignments, and late-night study sessions to the interesting competitions, corporate exposure/events & continuous interaction with the corporates through guest lectures- there is never a dull moment in college. What furthered my adventure were the student committees I was a part of where I got a chance to peek behind the scenes- approving budgets, creating promotional plans and launching new events altogether. There are over 9 student committees or societies that a student can become a part of- something in store for everyone based on their interests & inclinations! The one I got selected for was coincidentally the one where I truly envisioned myself to be - the President of Finance and the Student Ambassador.           The experience of faculty reflects in their approach to case-based learning and articulation of concepts, which they support with research & industry examples- enlisting application insights for students. Furthermore, regular seminars with industry experts kept me updated with the latest happenings and emerging trends. The course is rigorously planned, giving each student the ambient condition and many opportunities to explore their full potential and polish their leadership skills. I was exposed to group dynamics of the corporates which was the most interesting for me. The days sometimes seem endless, coffee tends to become a constant ally to navigate through the myriad of projects, role plays, case discussions & group assignments.          The college is thorough with the placements process- assistance for which is available for both multiple internships (Indian as well as International) & finals placements. I was able to get my 1st internship at IDBI Capital Markets and Securities Limited and 2nd Internship at Paytm, India - which gave me the amazing opportunity to not just learn but apply what I had learned in the duration of my first year.         The highlight of this experience I would have to say were the various International Programs (including Faculties from Kedge - France, SUNY - USA, CNAM - Paris, a Joint Project with Management Students from SGH Warsaw where we created a project for a Global Sustainable Fashion Start-up, Live Events from across the World!) that were conducted during the course.           At this point in my program, I have interacted with people from all walks of the corporate life, developed a close circle of friends hailing from different parts of India & the World, and am equipped with the basic knowledge any manager must have to make it in professional life- which is what I am looking forward to and most excited about. Thejasvi Shetty (PGPM Class of 2021) is a management student at Athena School of Management in Mumbai. She has completed her Internships with IDBI Capital Markets (Investment Banking) & Paytm India (Fintech) & worked on a Joint Global Project on a Global Sustainable Fashion Start-up.  All PGPM Students at Athena School of Management complete Three Internships as part of the program.
