The hiring process consisted of a case-based discussion on the modern implementation of ERP systems followed by a personal interview. The case-based discussion was quite technical and business-oriented. We were presented with a real-time scenario of a Deloitte’s client-facing a hurdle, and we were asked to brainstorm as to how to approach the solution. This case-based discussion was for a team of 8 people, and after each and everyone had put front their point of view, we were asked to make a presentation about the final solution to the problem at hand dividing the different aspects of the solution amongst ourselves, i.e. Finance, Operations etc. Having completed the Case Discussion round, next was the personal interview where I was asked about my previous work experience. The questions mainly revolved around my resume. During the Internship, the project I had got was the Application of Machine Learning in Finance. This allowed me to explore different aspects of machine learning. Its algorithms and applications with the various facets of Finance. I was given a project to bring in more customization and automation for the user to improve client experience. The role mainly revolved in getting to know different business processes insights and find areas of improvement in tandem with machine learning. We had a final presentation in front of the business leaders at Deloitte who would assess the effort and contribution you have put in and the value addition of the solution to Deloitte. Tips I would suggest for the process would be : How To Cope During The Summer Internship: I would say take your time in actually understanding the issue at hand rather than just hastily getting into the solution. Once you comprehend what exactly the problem is, the solution derivation becomes easier. There will not be much pressure during internship but taking things lightly because of this will not help you at the final presentation. I would say due diligently work hard on all five days, connect and network with different people to get their insights all of which will drive you to your solution to present the same during the final presentation.
