The day was April 1st 2019, coordinating a cab with my friends and reaching the said office at 9 am in Bangalore traffic. I was greeted by a warm HR who gave up a run down of the company and its policies after a short personal chat with everyone. We were introduced to our mentors Mr.Biswajeet Balabatray , Ms. Akshata Someshekar and Mr. Chanakya helping us through the Business Development process.
The purpose of the internship is to understand the business and get exposure to its various nitty gritty. To analyse the strategies and help in the development and growth of the business and majorly work on B2B marketing which involves creation of leads and client engagement.
- Analyzing past sales to understand sector trends and helps in lead generation
- Creating a new commercial model to diversify the reach
- Formulating expansion to penetrate other parts of India like Gurgaon, Mumbai and Hyderabad.
- Anzy Careers are expansion to South east Asia in order to expand its reach, helping them with a road map was an interesting challenge
There was a lot of room for creative freedom. As the organisation was flat , It was easy for us to understand the separate departments working in the company. Which lead me to finding another problem that needed to be addressed.
Most of the operation revolves around finding the right candidate and making sure he matches the skill requirement of the client. The judgement of candidates is a time taking process, it takes up more than 60% in the average delivery cycle.
Hence quantisation of talent proved to be an effective tool, this can be achieved through a skill matrix. A skills matrix, or competency matrix, is a tool to map required and desired skills for a team or project. It is a grid that visualizes the required and available skills and competencies in a team. This makes it an essential tool for any data-driven HR professional.Which was directly pitched to the Heads of several departments.
Anzy not only provided us with a platform that had a of learning but empowered our ideas and thoughts. I would like to thank NMIMS Bangalore and everyone related to this internship for helping me throughout this phase and making the internship a great learning and enriching experience.
