Dawn to Dusk and beyond: The journey called IIM Kashipur
When the going gets tough, the tough get going. My journey in IIM Kashipur can be summed up with these words. Life is often said to be like a sine wave, filled with ups and downs and I have seen them all in here. IIM Kashipur was a rollercoaster ride which at times made me feel like giving up, and at the same time left me with a rush that pushed me to keep going. Before embarking on any journey, one is apprehensive about the way it works out; you start to doubt whether or not you are up for the challenge, whether or not you have the courage necessary to survive? I felt the same. Life is a war, with battles fought each day so, here I am, after my IIM Kashipur battle a little bruised but still growing.
Having completed my MBA, I now have the mind space to analyse if my objectives of pursuing an MBA were met? Have I received what I came here for? It stems into a larger question, what does one expect from a B-School? Is it the Academics, placements, social experiences, guest lectures or a complete personality development package? And more importantly, has IIM Kashipur been successful in meeting my expectations? I believe that in IIM Kashipur, we live in a rainbow of chaos. This chaos forces us to learn, to live, and to innovate.
Here we have a mix of people different in multiple aspects- culturally, physically, linguistically, and even mentally, the chaos is thus created by the diametrically different people thriving and surviving together in the uphill battle and striving to make our life large. In our continuous efforts of learning from each other and at the same time competing with each other, we make the coolest of friends, the most cherished memories and develop the grit to let go and step out of the cocoon of your comfort zone and fight to make the best out of our lives.
The truth is you don't know what is going to happen tomorrow. Life is a crazy ride, and nothing is guaranteed. You work, you party, you love, and you hate, dawn to dusk and beyond. All I can say is that I am happy that IIM Kashipur was a part of my crazy ride.
