I am one of the faces in the crowd, having millions of dreams in my mind. In all sense I can relate with you all and maybe after reading my story, you might relate with mine too. In my story, I have a sweet aspiration which brought me to a place where I am today! This is my journey to IIM Rohtak.
I am the son of a farmer from Uttranchal; if you haven't been there, I urge you to visit the place once. It is one of the most beautiful places which is still lush with big green forests and wide rivers. My father was in his teens when he decided that he wants to leave the beautiful farms and go to Delhi to earn some money and name for himself. After due consideration and fights in the family, he boarded the first bus to the city. When he reached Delhi, he was a confused man with limited resources and even more limited contacts in the city. He got his first job in Cement Manufacturing unit in Aditya Birla Cement plant and there on after 4 years working in the plant, his work was recognized by his superiors in the factory and one day while his seniors were talking to their friends, my father got acquainted with the superior's friend who was working in logistics. After some months, my father left his job to join the logistics business, and after only a short span of 2 years, the person offered my father a partnership position in his small logistics business. This made him think that it is now the right time to start his venture in the logistics business. He sold some farms we had and took loans from the relatives he knew and started small with one truck and two tempos. I am proud to say that today, with his hard work and sheer dedication, he is at a position where he can provide for his children and family. I was brought up in a good background and top of the class education. My father always taught me that whatever you want in life is achieved with merit; nothing will be spoon fed to you. This statement holds a deep meaning for me. I have also worked my way up, excelling in all the activities I take part in (debate, competitions, etc.). Today I am in IIM Rohtak, and the whole credit goes to my father and the values taught to me by him.
